im a Monk/El dose any one know how to beat my self . all jokes aside.
i have been trying for days . keep geting killed any idea i can get most any skill i need .

bring only meteor shower.as long as u dont move the doppleganger is too dumb to move.i killed him in 20 seconds doing that.just let him use meteor shower first and your fine.whatever u do dont bring anything other than meteor shower.

I say just switch to fire for that battle use fireball, flare and AoE skills and just spam him. Since you're a monk bring healing skills as well. I beat him very easily with my Elementalist with fire.

Use Firestorm, Meteor Shower, and as many useless maintained Monk enchantments as you have.

Holy Veil, Blessed Aura, and Life Attunement are good (as long as you don't bring any healing spells to set off Life Attunement). Make him waste time and energy casting things that won't help him.
